      Kindergarten Assistant Director

      Mark Curry is an AMI trained Montessori Assistant and will be continuing in the Kindergarten class as the Assistant Director. Mark has a BA in Psychology from the University of Alberta and a degree in Fine Art from Emily Carr University. He has worked with at risk youth and taught classes through various arts organizations for the past 20+ years.

      Noushaba obtained her American Montessori Society (AMS) diploma and started her Montessori teaching career in Cleveland in 2008. Prior to joining WMA, she worked as a Montessori Elementary school teacher in Winnipeg for six years. She is passionate about applying the philosophy of Maria Montessori in her teaching practice. She also has a MA in English and MBA degrees.

    • Mr. Michael Charrois
      Theatre Arts

      A professional actor (Equity, Actra/ UBCP), Michael has been teaching drama classes for ages 5 to adult for over 20 years. He studied acting, play-writing, and directing at the University of Alberta and the Banff School of Fine Arts. He has taught for the City of Surrey, Vancouver School Board, the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, and Stage Polaris Academy of Drama in Edmonton.

    • Coach Dave Gatiss
      Coach, ASC Leader, Guitar Teacher

      David has been the leader of the WMA After School Care (ASC) program for the past 6 years. He has also been the Table Tennis Coach for the past 8 years and Golf Coach for the past 3 and is an NCCP trained coach in both sports. David has been a musician all his life and has two higher Diploma’s in Music and Music Technology and is currently running the Guitar teaching program at WMA. He has also run the Rock School Summer Camp and the Soccer Summer Camp programs at WMA in the past.

    • Ms. Rebecca Salters
      Preschool Theatre Arts

      Drama Bugs Director Rebecca has studied how the arts enhance children’s learning in cross curriculum activities for over a decade. She is a certified ECE instructor and designs her younger classes to help students be prepared to enter preschool and kindergarten. Rebecca has found that participating in arts activities helps children to gain the skills necessary for adapting to and respecting others and their ideas, as well as understanding human experience.


    • Ms. Lorelei Poulin

      Ms. Lorelei joined the staff of WMA in November of 2016, after taking some time off work to spend it at home with her children.


      Ms. Lorelei also holds a coordinated diploma in Education Assistant, with experience in both elementary and high school environments.
